Birthday Ideas?

So...... apparently I have figured out how to post photo's thanks to Scott. Yes, he was the author of the last couple of posts. It was fun to see him get a little carried away, and I'm sure it won't be the last time either. Anyway, I'm looking for some fun birthday party game ideas for Halle's 9th birthday party. So, for the three of you that know about and read my blog :), any fun ideas? I'm having a hard time coming up with good old classic party games. I decided against a theme this year, way to much time and expense, and for the most part I think birthdays are blown out of proportion. For me it was all about the games, friends, and well okay, the presents. So if you have any great game ideas..... Please share.

The Kate Chronicles

This is our Kate!! She's busy and messy, but we love her to death! You can't get more fun than Kate. She keeps you on your toes, but she is a ham most of the time. We hope that these pictures will give the family that's not around often a chance to see her in her full glory. ;0)
After that brownie we just had to brush teeth, which she loves to do. Well.....maybe the toothpaste part.

This is Kate and Halle loving Moab.

Kate wanting to go outside and play with the big brothers and sister.

So this was fun. Misty had just made the cake batter and poured most of the batter in the cupcake cups. Misty left Kate alone for just a minute to find Kate eating the rest of the batter. Kate was in heaven and Misty was so happy that there was another mess to clean up right before the party.

MMMMmmmmmm.

Rewind to October festivities

So we went to Frightmares at Lagoon with Misty's Family. They had lots of these foto opps.

Here's the brothers on one of Matt's favorite rides because it wasn't scary!!

Arrrrggggg!! Matt wanted a Pirate birthday party. It was a lot of fun watching and trying to control all of these boys. Misty had a bright idea of having a treasure hunt. It was pretty funny trying to get all of them to go to the same place to find each clue. Good Times!

Here is the witch princess!!

The night before Halloween! Carving pumpkins is one of my favorite things to do.

Just had to put this one on. This is one of my favorite carvings that I do.

Slow at Blogging

Ok, so I'm struggling a little with this blogging thing. I haven't taken the time to figure out how to get my pictures posted on my blog (which I'm sure is as easy as riding a bike), and find that when I sit down at the computer, I love to look at all of your blogs instead of taking the time to update my own. I am determined though.
As for updates, life is busy as usual. One funny thing....... I am now our Primary chorister. Funny because I do not have one ounce of music background. Funny because when I get up and sing the songs I have to watch the children to remember the words instead of vice versa. I am greatful though, what sweet children. Where else can you be where you are loved even more for messing up and laughing at yourself. Life is about coming out of those comfort zones, and learning all that we can, Right?

Hello Blogging

So after months of deliberating whether or not to join the blogging community, I am officially blogged on. As many of you know I have been somewhat anti to blogs, but after following many of your blogs out there, I have become somewhat fascinated with many of your day to day adventures, your inspiring thoughts and ideas, and most importantly the joy I see in journaling the sweet children we have been blessed with. So my hope is that in blogging my own family adventures, I will share the positive, spiritual, and sweet moments that happen in my life and my family's lives. What a great way to keep loved ones who live so far away as close to us as possible.

Election Day

I feel blessed to be an American. Today Scott and I had the privilege to vote. Voting makes me feel patriotic, and thankful for the blessings we have as Americans. We will be up late anxiously awaiting the outcome.
