Back on the blogwagon........

yes i'm considering. attempting to blog again that is. life is moving to fast and slipping away. i have been terrible at journalizing my sweet little family, well maybe i should say big.... i mean i do have 5 little kiddos now, with this little cutie being our 5th. this is jake's first official pic on the family blog. sad. he's 8 months now. i thought his cute face would be a perfect, inspirational way for me to enter the blogging world again. boy do we love him.

anyways wish me luck. i'm terrible at making commitments when it comes to journalizing. no promises.

Trail of Hope....probably the most touching part of Nauvoo for me. What incredible faith to leave everything behind.

The water lilies were in bloom, and they were beautiful. Scott promised to get me one. What an awesome husband!

Roadtrip

I'm trying to be selective in the pics I post....... there were just so many of them, and because I don't have much time to scrapbook anymore this is a good way to preserve our memories for now:).

One of my favorite statues at the women's gardens.

The Mississippi river

Pioneer games in the park

What a beautiful temple......too bad the walk by photographer cut out half of it:(.

Roadtrip

Note: someone please tell me how to post more than 4 pics in one post, this is frustrating:)

Carthage Jail - Matthew couldn't get enough of Grandpa Ross.....he's been missed.

Nauvoo Temple after an early morning session.

We were privileged enough to receive a special tour of the bell tower thanks to Scott's sweet parents. There were speakers up there to produce fake bird sounds to keep birds away.......who knew?

Roadtrip

3400 miles + 6 different states = one awesome roadtrip and lots of wonderful memories:)

Some highlights from our trip:

Grandpa and grandma Ross at the Nauvoo pageant. They are currently serving a mission at the Nauvoo temple. It was a treat to be with them again. They always treat us so well. We love you both!

Matt and Dallin at Carthage jail, standing in front of two incredible brothers, Joseph and Hyrum Smith.

Inside Carthage Jail where Joseph Smith was martyred.

My wonderful dad with my sweet sister Skyler.

A big thank you to my parents who mostly made this trip possible. My mom is the ultimate travel agent........ she goes to extremes to make sure we have the best time, and see as much as we possibly can. Every trip starts with a binder in hand and our itinerary planned down to the minute:). We stayed in an awesome house in Nauvoo, and even ventured two KOA's, bugs and all.
